What_a_d-bag - "I was working at Oculus right before my grandmother passed and got to bring her a headset in hospice. Took her to her home town she hadn’t seen since 1938. Then outside her first home with her first husband. Then the farm she and my grandfather worked. Then showed her space and swimming with dolphins. The rest of that day was the most cogent and energetic she’d been in years. She told us stories we’d never heard about her little brother I’m named after."

HUYZER - "I used to deliver to a senior living center and I wanted to do the VR for the residents. Don't know why I didn't follow through. It's not too late though. I can always contact the activities coordinator and they'd be happy to assist in making it happen. I hope you are able to, too."

mancubthescrub - "Weird analogy, but I'm reminded of the experiment where they would give the mice water or drugs in order to better understand addiction. It was concluded that the environment dictated weather they would opt to do the drugs over and over or the water. I wonder if you changing her environment changed her current outlook on life. It can't be easy sitting in hospice (mental duress even if you are not somewhat cognisent) and I would like to think you gave her an environment to look forward to, rather than waiting for bed sores or other examples of ways one can't take care of themselves anymore."
