Shamcgui - "I have been having a nightmare of a time getting Samsung to honor their warranty on a Samsung s22 Ultra I bought at a spectrum store. At this point it feels like nothing but a scam. It doesn't surprise me that Samsung is tail spinning. Their customer service and their products have completely gone down the drain. On top of that, no one seems to care at all."
techiewreckie404 - "I’m a technician at a Samsung Authorized Repair Center store… they are genuinely the worst. All the shit Apple and Google get, at least their support works and their products don’t just fuckin break. At least they honor warranties. Samsung charged my store almost $600 for a ZFold screen because there were scuffs and that’s “supposed to void the warranty”. They’re awful"
Both-Cryptographer-1 - "So far my experience working for my country’s biggest telco is Apple support is the gold standard for now. Including their QA for their products."
[deleted] - "Couple of years ago I stupidly dropped my flagship iPhone a week after release on asphalt face first with no case… shattered into a million pieces. Brought it to an Apple Store the same day. Saw someone in 15 minutes."
Jayandwesker - "my samsung TV “one connect box” doesn’t work which makes the whole TV inoperable, they no longer service or sell the replacement since it’s from 2017. 70 inch brick. F U samsung."
wasted911 - "The one benefit to this is more average people who experience other failures with their tvs can put their one connect boxes on eBay rather than trying to part out the insides of a tv. There’s actually a slim chance you could track a used one down."
trappedxan626 - "That’s the thing about Samsung. They come out with so many products their life span isn’t suppose to be forever."
OuchYouPokedMyHeart - "Yeah I always read and hear people say if you want products that last especially appliances, don’t buy Samsung or LG"
hitemlow - "Just like how their tablets and non-flagship phones will get about one update, then you're unsupported with no security updates forever."
trappedxan626 - "Exactly. I stopped buying Samsung products in general now. Last time I had a galaxy was 2017? Been iPhones or google as well"
LeagueOfficeFucks - "Bought two Samsung televisions at the same time as I had moved to a new flat, one for the living room and a smaller one for the bedroom. Warranty expires and the TVs stop functioning shortly after. Both of them within weeks of each other."
DeltaDe - "Is that the big box you plug all your HDMI cables into etc? Cause I have to reset my TV every time I change from one to another… I wouldn’t mind if it was cheap but it cost £2500 I have an LG that is a year older but is so much better and was cheaper."
teesee150 - "No fuck google too. Their support is one of the worst I have dealt with and left me with a brick of a phone"
Ok-Camp-7285 - "Google support has been horrible for me. They asked me to do loads of checks which haven't worked, then I sent a video as they requested and now I'm 3/4 weeks without progress. I chase them.and they just say that they'll update me when they can..."
dotjzzz - "Google's support? Really? I don't know about you, I'm not getting my Google account banned."
DonovanQT - "Why would they ban your google account for trying to use your warranty?"
half-puddles - "They also only offer 2 updates per phone generation? Or am I wrong?"
snackelmypackel - "I think Google offers 3 years of updates, Samsung offers 4, and Apple offers 5. I believe Samsung just went from 3 to 4 years of support"
akaWhitey2 - "Google does five years of updates/support for most products. That changed a couple year ago, and everything from the Pixel 6 forward gets five years of updates, I think the same is true of all their Chromebooks too."
